Camay bags Abante Grande MTB open title

DAVAO CITY — Almer Camay of Guihing bagged the open title of the 2008 Abante Grande Mountainbike Challenge, Sunday.
Camay defeated Glen Yap of the Inday Sara Team while Hilario Ladra followed at third place.
In the junior’s division, Carisma Biolangao of Agdao crossed the finish line first besting the efforts of Mark Moralez and Romulo Mascardo Jr.
In the senior’s division, Jayrald Deparine Jr. of Kidapawan won over Marcais Parill and Ricahrd Ambuat.
Inday Sara’s Danny Tapao took the master’s title while Dennis Lamigo settled for the first runner-up honors and Paolo Ambuat at third.
Norisa Goc-ong of Panacan clinched the women’s title while Leah Tumanda of Bago Gallera managed to take second place followed by Jeralyn Matunhay of Calinan.
Prizes were awarded after the race sponsored by Councilor Paolo Z. Duterte with the support of Catalunan Grande Barangay Council and Karancho.
