DFA, Gawad Kalinga agree to promote football

DAVAO CITY — The Davao Football Association and Gawad Kalinga-Southeastern Mindanao agreed on Monday to bring football development to the 10 GK communities.
DFA President Gerry Romero-Salas and Ricky Villanueva, Gawad Kalinga’s regional head for Southeastern Mindanao, discussed the program to bring coaches to the communities and teach the sport.
DFA General Secretary Erwin Protacio said that they will reach out to more Dabawenyos to make the sport popular among the youth.
The GK Football Development Program, Protacio said, will not only be held in Davao but there is also a plan to bring it to Cagayan de Oro City.
Mo is based in Davao City.
