The New City Commercial Corporation (NCCC), a corporation that has taken root in the hearts of not only Davaoeños but in people all through out Mindanao has been getting better and better for their customers. Any true blue Dabawenyo knows about it.

The company began in 1952 as a textile store and has grown since then into a continuously expanding corporation. The key to their success is their being people-oriented, keeping in mind good and sincere service internally and externally.

As part of their marketing efforts, a live Mannequin Show last February 9, 2008 was conducted at the NCCC Department Store levels 2 and 3. The Mannequins who showcased three sets of trendy and classic attires went around flaunting beauty and artistry. The models are part of the TeeNCCC Club with competition held annually.
Truly, the New City Commercial Corporation is continually giving its best to the people of Davao and of Mindanao.

Last December 22, 2007, the Multi-awarded Himig Singers of Davao City had a caroling at Matina Town Square and presented an eight-song repertoire.
The group has recently bagged the top prize of the 1st Asian Choir Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from November 2-10, in the Mixed Vocal Ensemble category, besting rival groups from the host country, China, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

For those of you who want who missed the newest tourist attraction in Davao City, here’s a short movie clip of the recently opened Davao City People’s Park (PTA park).
The video was taken from a flyover bridge located in the middle of the park, separating the front bench areas from the atrium. Here, you could see a 360 degree view which can help you identify the location of each area using the landmarks that include the Marco Polo Hotel, the Royal Mandaya Hotel and the back part of the Apo View Hotel in the background.

The Waste Market Fair made through the efforts of the Davao City Local Government and SM City Davao Management in cooperation with some of the Scraps and Junk businessmen here in the city. The Waste Market Fair is open every last Saturday of each month at SM City Davao’s open Parking C from 8:00am until 4:00pm. The fair offers buying the following:

• Paper scraps, old newspapers and magazines, cartons.
• Used ink cartridges, preferably HP and Canon cartridges.
• Broken appliances such as the TV, refrigerators, radio, printers, oven, etc.
• Old CPU boxes, monitors, computer keyboards, mouse, and other computer hardware parts.
• Tin cans, and things made of alloy or steel.
Waste Market Fair Process:
1. Register your name and address at the registration booth.

2. Get your item stubs and Go to your designated booths.
3. Submit the item stubs and have your items weighed.
4. Get your cash and wait for your receipt.

The last Saturday of this month will be on the 29th of December. Go ahead and gather the junk that you may want to sell.
